When app launcher proved to be a big hit on iOS, Apple introduced “Launchpad”–the iOS-style app launcher—with OS X Lion. And guess what, most folks (including me) found the new add-on pretty adorable. To make the most of this neat feature, I ensure that Launchpad is added to my Mac Dock.

- By default, you can move your Mac's dock to the right, left, or bottom, in the middle of the screen. Those three settings don't work for everyone, so if you want to move your dock elsewhere, Apple.
- First, go to the Apple Menu on the top left of the screen and select System Preferences. Click on the Dock panel. You can then adjust the size, magnification, and position of the dock. Or, look to the left side of your dock. There is a separator that divides Applications from Folders and Trash.
